Ellis, As of 6:36 am on Dec. 6, 2009, I officially became orphaned, as mom decided that after 27 years she is spending Christmas with dad this year and for eternity. She was diagnosed with colon cancer in early October, underwent surgery which went very well until complications set in 3 weeks later. After 3 more weeks in the hospital, she told us that she was done, no more surgery, no more pain and it as that time that she chose to leave this world with as much grace as I have never seen.
Her smile and touch will be missed but her love will live on in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.
